Kid’s Club – SSI – Explorers Program

SSI – Explorers Program (Formerly known as Scuba Rangers)

Unforgettable underwater adventures for kids - Dive beneath the surface and explore the marvels of our Snorkel, Scuba, Mermaid, and Freediving Explorer programs

If your kids are between 8 and 12 years old, they can become a SCUBA RANGER. The Scuba Rangers Club is about learning this new sport in a safe environment.

With other kids, they can go diving for real in a swimming pool. With a real cylinder on their back and a mouth piece in their mouth, they can learn to breathe under water!

Safety is our #1 priority! “Scuba Rangers programs can only be taught by specially trained instructors in a pool (or under confined water conditions in a protected area) up to a maximum depth of 4 meters (12 feet). In depths greater than 1.50 meters (5 feet) there is a one-to-two instructor-to-student ratio.” ~ SSI

“The Scuba Ranger Instructors who teach children diving school courses have not only been deemed excellent divers by our strict SSI standards, they have also had special training in how to teach diving to children specifically. During the Scuba Rangers sessions and club activities, safety always comes first; the instructor-student ratio is always respected, and sufficient medical resources are always close at hand.” ~SSI

One of our Scuba Instructors will help each kid every step of the way. Call and ask about the program and pricing!

Prepare your kids

Your children must have basic swimming skills, be comfortable in the water, and be in good health. Scuba Rangers students are expected to make a commitment to learning proper diving skills and following safe diving practices, and to having fun!

During pool training sessions, your children are always under the direct supervision of a certified Scuba Ranger Instructor.

For the pool training sessions, students must have a scuba mask, adjustable fins, dive boots, and snorkel. You may purchase this basic equipment package at our store on location. Please let us know if your children plan to use any equipment that they may already own. Dive KC provides all of the required scuba equipment.
