The SSI Student Manual includes study guide questions at the end of each section to help you retain your new knowledge and test your retention. During your training sessions at Divers Equipment, you will learn all of the necessary skills and safe procedures to be a comfortable and confident diver.

SSI Open Water Diver certification cards are recognized worldwide. They entitle you to dive with other certified divers, enable you to purchase/rent equipment and obtain air fills anywhere you choose to dive.

Instructions:What's Included

1. Come in to Sign Up and get your Student Kit. Read the book and answer the questions at the end of each chapter. Your SSI Instructor will go over the material with you during the class and pool sessions to ensure you have a good understanding of the principles involved.

2. After successful completion of the Classroom and Pool Sessions, you have one thing left to do to complete certification: The Open Water Lake Checkout!

3. The Checkout Dive is where we put all your training together in the open water. Five dives will be done over Two-Days at one of the area lakes. This gives you valuable experience in a natural environment. We typically schedule one lake checkout every month during the Summer.
